Best value I've ever gotten for a vacation is Trinidad. Exchange rate at the time was 6TT to 1 USD. I don't know what inflation is like in these other countries, but say you get 100 in whatever currency for 1 USD. If inflation is bad the math doesn't work anyway. In Trindad, you FEEL that you are saving. I went during Carnival (Trinidad is not a tourist island so unless you're there for Carnival or visiting family it's probably not worth it). The most expensive thing I paid for was the plane ticket (fi you are not flying direct from MIA or New York, you'll pay) and my Carnival costume (I played mas with one of the big "bands" so it was about $500, but it's all-inclusive...food, drinks, etc. all covered for the two days). I can't wait until I'm able to do it again. You will not get luxury accomodations in Trinidad and if you're going for a US feel, you will pay US prices. But staying at a guest house is cheap as hell. Besides, Trini carnival should be on everyone's bucket list. Will not disappoint. Definitely look into it (as you can see, I'm passionate about this!).
I'm glad to see Costa Rica on this list. I'm in the midst of planning a summer vacation for myself and the BF and was debating between Costa Rica and a few other places. I'll have to add this back to the top of the list.
Try South Africa. The Rand exchange rate is something absurb like 8.6 to 1. You can seriously make out like a queen. I spent the a couple months there and will be mad when I'm back to USD. If you're up for a little adventure check out Egypt. The Egyptian Pound is pretty good compared to the USD too.. It's either 6 or 8 something to the dollar.
