Either Way...

**Background**

So, I'm watching the Channel 9 morning news yesterday (WGN) and they have Karrine Steffans on that bad boy doing a satellite interview. Dean Richards played the hell out of her like "well, this isn't an A list interview or anything, but let's see what she has to say." The production team then plays golddigger by Kanye West. I'm LMAO!!!

She gets about a 20-second soundbite and then they proceed to look at her book like it's a playboy spread. I'm disgusted with the news for giving her any air time. The kick is that her books is a "relationship manual."

I think to myself taking relationship advice from Superhead is like taking financial advice from Bernie Madoff. At the end of the day you're ONLY going to get fucked.

Not a fan of Karrine, but the way these interviewers have been behaving is unprofessional. If you aren't going to show her respect as a guest--regardless of how you personally feel about her or what she's promoting--don't book her.

@ la,

I haven't heard/seen any interviews besides the ones I referenced. I know from working with the media that the producers book and the interviewers deal with whatever the producers set up. They don't always see eye to eye. Dean Richards was just stating fact... nothing about her is A list.

And I heard her "relationship manual" has a bunch of illustrations, so I'm not mad at WGN at all for doing the same thing on TV that the rest of us were doing at home.

I have a very specific feeling about hoes (I think I have a post on here dedicated to them), as far as I'm concerned she is a hoe and she will be treated as such.

Right now, I'm thinknig Hoe SATDOWN!!!

Feel free to read my blog post today...

Why Karrine Keeps a Man and You Don't:

Everybody is definitely commenting on the note on Facebook.

I've never been on the producing end so I can't even pretend to know what happens, but the way I see it...once it has been cleared that she's going to be on, then behave like a professional. Karrine is who she is. We all know what she's done--it's nothing new. Nothing anyone says or thinks about her will change that. So accept it or move on. It's like beating a dead horse. I just expect more from people who are supposed to be professional. I think Karrine actually carries herself better than them in this instance.

I dunno, I guess I'm just different in the way I operate. If we all treated folks the way we felt about 'em, this world would be a lot nastier than it already is.

I agree with La. Why should the media play a double standard on men. When Michael Jordan was interviewed noone asked him about his white girl fetish or his gambling issues.

And if Karrine did get famous for putting her ass out there then why would I make myself look like a fool ass journalist by trying to play her.

At the end of the day she is a woman. And you have to show a bit of respect.

I find it very interesting that you, T, of all people would say you feel a certain way about "hoes." I'm sure there is at least one girl you hang/hung with at some point in your life could be classified a hoe and I wonder if you feel the same way about them?

@TT, I'm not commenting on your blog post (via blog or fb). I don't have anything to say about it.

"Why should the media play a double standard on men. When Michael Jordan was interviewed noone asked him about his white girl fetish or his gambling issues."

The reason she's quasi-famous is because she's a hoe. The reason MJ was famous was because he could play ball. I'm sure most of his interviews talked about ball, just like most of her interviews are about being a hoe.

"I find it very interesting that you, T, of all people would say you feel a certain way about "hoes." I'm sure there is at least one girl you hang/hung with at some point in your life could be classified a hoe and I wonder if you feel the same way about them?"

The only difference between a hoe and a real woman is who knows her business. Karrine Steffans is a high class kiss-and-tell hoe.

I, actually, don't have any friends who write books about bossing derb. (Yes, I did just say bossing derb). But if I did, I'd call her the hoe she was. All my girls KNOW that's how I get down. When have you ever know me to sugar coat stuff?

C'mon now.

I guess that I do expect the new anchors to be a little more professional. I have seen them interview the 'Hollywood Madame' and be less condesending.

On the other hand...Karrine is a straight gutter-butt, trolop w/hers! I mean her name is SUPERHEAD, and she's proud of that. How can the poor anchors NOT add in a bit of mockery?

As for TT...you just used Tea's favortire word: FEEL. Technically, she FEELS the exact same way about all hoes be they friend, foe, or quasi-celeb. Now, how she treats them, of course, differs based upon their actions and relationship. Karrine...who is of no relation or consequence AND chooses to actively publicize her gutter-buttness...get's treated with ridicule, mockery, and disrespect (ironically, that's much the same way that she has treated herself).

*my bad on the typos*

Karinne grinds my gears. I think she deserves to get played (though I agree with an earlier commenter that it is poor journalism), I have seen her on other shows and she gets up in arms about folks constantly referring to her hoshit origins, yet she is getting paid on it. Can't have it both ways... by the way what is the link to the ho-post?

@ Naturally, here's the original post on hoes.

I'll link it in this post too.
